Time Tracking compared with other time-tracking tools
What each tool does better than the others, and what ours does not do.
Time Tracking is a project time-tracking tool built in France and billed in euros, at €5.40 incl. VAT per month for a freelancer — €4.50 excluding VAT. It is simpler and cheaper than Toggl Track, Clockify, Harvest or Gryzzly, and it does less: no client invoicing, no integrations, no permanent free plan. If you want to issue invoices from the tool, pick Harvest; if you want a free plan for a small team, pick Clockify; if you are steering an agency’s profitability, look at Gryzzly.
Prices checked on 4 September 2026 on each vendor’s own pricing page, on monthly billing. They change without notice: check them at the source before deciding.
| Tool | Free plan | Trial | Paid entry | Excluding VAT |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Time Tracking | No | 2 months, no card | €5.40 incl. VAT | €4.50 excl. VAT |
| Toggl Track | Yes, no time limit | — | $9 excl. tax | $9 excl. tax |
| Clockify | Yes, up to 5 users | — | $4.99 excl. tax | $4.99 excl. tax |
| Harvest | Yes, 1 seat and 2 projects | — | $9 excl. tax | $9 excl. tax |
| Gryzzly | No | 14 days | €12 excl. VAT | €12 excl. VAT |
Our individual prices are shown including VAT, because they are sold to individuals; the other four are shown excluding tax, as is usual in business sales. The last column brings everything back to excluding VAT: €4.50 for us. That is the only price comparison that means anything, and it happens to favour us — all the more reason to state it plainly rather than let you compare a VAT-inclusive price with a VAT-exclusive one.
What each one does better
Toggl Track
Its free plan is the most generous of the group: no time limit, with web, desktop and mobile apps. It connects to more than a hundred tools and syncs with Google and Outlook calendars.
We have neither a permanent free plan nor any integration. If your work already lives in other tools and you want time tracking to plug into them, Toggl Track is built for that and we are not.
Clockify
It has the cheapest paid entry on the market, and its free plan covers up to five users. Client invoicing appears from the Standard plan, at $6.99 excl. tax per month.
A small team wanting to start at zero will find its answer there before finding ours. Our offer is different: a long trial, then a single price, with no feature tier to climb.
Harvest
Client invoicing is its heart, and it is included even in the free plan, with accounting integrations and expense tracking. From time entry to paid invoice, it all happens in one place.
This is the sharpest difference between us. We do not issue invoices: we prepare the summary your client approves, and the invoice happens elsewhere. If you want both in one tool, Harvest does it and we do not.
Gryzzly
Also a French vendor, billed in euros. Entry goes through a chatbot in Slack or Microsoft Teams, which makes it nearly invisible for a team that already lives there. Its Budget plan tracks margins, hourly costs and per-project profitability.
It is the tool of an agency steering its profitability, and its price reflects that. We aim at the freelancer and the small team, with a sold budget per project rather than margin analysis, and no chatbot.
When to choose Time Tracking
- You are a freelancer or a small team, and tracking time should stay a gesture, not one more tool to administer.
- You want euro billing from a French vendor, and your data stored in the European Union.
- You work across several devices: all four platforms are native, with the same account and the same data.
- You prefer one price to a grid of plans where the feature you need always sits one tier higher.
- You already invoice with another tool, and you only want to know how long you spent, project by project.
When not to choose it
- You want to issue invoices from the tool: Harvest does it from its free plan, Clockify from its Standard plan.
- You need a permanent free plan: Clockify up to five users, Toggl Track with no time limit.
- You want tracking to plug into your other tools: we have no integrations and no public API.
- You steer an agency’s margins and profitability: that is Gryzzly Budget’s ground, and Toggl Track’s higher plans.
- You are looking for automatic capture by watching your screen or your calendar: we do not do it, deliberately.
- You are looking for HR time-and-attendance software — clocking in, leave, absences: none of the five tools on this page is one.
How these figures were collected
Every price comes from the vendor’s own pricing page, consulted on 4 September 2026, on monthly billing and for the cheapest paid entry. No figure is taken from a third-party comparison: those pages are often one price revision behind.
